The first Creative Regions Summer School was hosted in Birmingham (12-16 July 2010).
The theme explored were:

• Mapping and analysing the creative economy 
• Innovation and entrepreneurship in the creative industries 
• Creative clusters and networks
• Urban regeneration and the creative economy
• Creative cities and cultural planning
• Creative class and regional economic development
• Policy perspectives: international, national, regional and local
